The health of our birds depends not only on proper habitat and nutrition, but also on the behind-the-scenes infrastructure that supports the people who care for them every day: our caretakers and devoted volunteers. Through the remarkable generosity of our patron, Herman, Parrot Palm Ranch was able to fully fund a dedicated bathroom and laundry installation for the facility. This essential addition provides a clean, functional space for staff and volunteers to maintain proper hygiene while working on-site, as well as an efficient area to launder towels and cleaning materials used throughout the sanctuary. The installation significantly improves daily operations, supports biosecurity and cleanliness standards, and allows our care team to focus more fully on the birds’ wellbeing. Herman’s contribution has created a lasting improvement to the sanctuary’s infrastructure, directly supporting both the people who serve Parrot Palm Ranch and the exotic birds who call it home.
